Cowboy Cadillac

Will pull virtually anything you need information technology to, while getting 20-24 mpg. Simple and solid, 5.9 is a 500k motor. My one regret......waiting 15 years to buy one..

Astonishing truck - took us around this country twice

Used to ain this car

Used this pickup to tow our 5th wheel all over the U.s.. very solid an d undecayed with great fuel economy. After 233,000 miles the motor was still strong with no issues. unfortunately the Dodge around it started falling apart. Little things hither and at that place started declining. Because we fulltime RV we needed peace of listen that a bearing was not going to fail and exit us on the side of the road.... so we traded it in on a new 2018 3500.

We've owned the truck for about vi years and have never had a problem with it. It'southward strong, reliable, and fun to drive. Not to mention comfortable. We've owned many Contrivance's and accept always loved them.

Quality and comfort

Do far this truck has plenty of power with is diesel engine. It's tuned and there last of the 5.ix Cummins without all that emissions bs. There cab is roomy and comfortable. The controls are right where they are supposed to be. The bed is shorter than I'k used to but plenty of room so far. Information technology looks good and has plenty of power. Great truck.

Has performed everything I have ask of it. Towed huge loaded trailer from Alaska to Oklahoma and got 20 MPG. Contrivance makes adept trucks. I volition buy some other if this one ever wares out.

Superb Towing Vehicle - Better Than New Models

The 2006 Dodge RAM 3500 with a 5.9 Cummins Turbo has more than low end torque, tows better and gets much better MPG than any of the models made later this twelvemonth. Highly recommended if yous can find one. It volition cost you half the price of a new 1 and outperform it with much lower depreciation.

Good powertrain, lots of small common issues

Test drove this car

I similar the way this vehicle drives and I like its capabilities, only I examination drive several and constitute that they have several small-scale common issues. One that I ran into was that you try to put it into park and open up the door and the alarm goes off. This is because the shifter cable gets loose and the truck won't go into park. Another is that all the power windows work but only using the commuter door controls. If yous attempt any of the other window controls from any other door so they don't work. This is apparently a problem with the control switch module in the commuter door. Carefully bank check every command on every door.

I drive a 3500 4wd dually with a cummins diesel fuel. Ride without a load was firm but comfortable. Enjoyed it.
